It all began in the back of a van—an inauspicious start, you might say, except that van was on a leisurely journey around the back roads of Italy.
How could we not to fall in love with the amazing tradition of service and quality surrounding the most humble items of food that characterises daily life in the Mediterranean?
We returned to New Zealand in 2003 and took on our own wholesale food distribution company, spending 11 years mastering the nuts and bolts of the industry. Taking over the wholesale arm of Mediterranean Foods in 2014 has presented an amazing opportunity to develop further long-lasting relationships with restaurants, cafés, bars, and chefs throughout Canterbury and the South Island region who share our passion for service and quality.
It’s a great pleasure to be able to supply such a terrific range—everything from fresh poultry, meat, seafood, baked goods and cheeses to antipasto, sweets & desserts, pasta, olives, oils, sauces, wines, breads, and much more.
